2-Cone Contested Lay-up Drill

This is another lay-up drill that uses the idea of the 1-second advantage (Renato Pasquali). The defense starts with the ball and passes to the offensive player. The defender has to wait to see which way the offensive player dribbles around the first cone, as the defender must go opposite the direction of the offensive player. The offensive player dribbles around the cone at half court, continues around the cone on the wing (depending upon the direction the offensive player chooses to go around the first cone), and attacks the basket.
